The lad ends up in a lumber camp business front for high-class adult beverages named "Blue Flame." At the camp, he finds three young women without ties to their home working there. The youngster is made to cook the whiskey, and the women are maids for the employees. Later, Constable Heades' daughter disappears to; the consternation of his wife, who had grown to like her. The girl had been added to the family, and was a friend to their son with a speech issue. The question becomes, how can the Constable resolve all of these issues in a fair and legal way? He does with an interesting twist at the end.
